Canadian Olympic Hero Alexandre Bilodeau Inspiring Speech and Dinner. Brought to you by The New Brunswick Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The New Brunswick Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is pleased to announce that on September 27th at Casino NB we will host The New Brunswick Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Fundraiser Dinner with Alexandre Bilodeau as our guest speaker. A two-time Olympic Gold medallist in mogul skiing at Vancouver and Sochi, Alexandre will bring a powerful and inspiring 60 minute keynote speech. His is a unique story of drawing inspiration and strength from his brother, who suffers from cerebral palsy, and in turn, his brother gains inspiration and strength from him. Dinner begins at 7:00pm. The four course meal is comprised of: Appetizer - Warm Acadian Spiced Tourtiere with Three Bean Ragout & Green Tomato Chow; Salad – Tossed Salad of Greens with Grilled Red Pepper, Feta & Herb Vinaigrette; Entrée – Prime Rib of Beef with Roasted Garlic & Cheddar Pave, Sauteed Wild Mushrooms, & Red Wine Jus; Dessert – New York Cheesecake with Fresh Berry Sauce served with Fresh Brewed VanHoute Coffee & Assorted Teas.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is an exciting self-development program available to all young people between the ages of 14 and 24, which equips them with life skills to Make a Difference for themselves, their communities, and the world. To date, over 500,000 young people from Canada and over 7 million youth in over 140 countries have been motivated to undertake a variety of voluntary and challenging activities.
For 50 years, The New Brunswick Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has helped to shape the future leaders and citizens of our province, and our country, by guiding them through a program which fosters self-reliance, perseverance, self-confidence, motivation, responsibility, physical activity, skill development, and service to their community. We currently have 1,200 participants throughout the province who are working through the Award program. In an effort to continue to Make a Difference in the lives of New Brunswick youth, we are hosting The New Brunswick Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Fundraiser Dinner with Alexandre Bilodeau to raise funds to assist us in reaching all New Brunswick youth.
